The Dallas County Veterinary Hospital has been AAHA accredited since 2000. AAHA was founded in 1933 and is the only association that provides voluntary accreditation to companion animal hospitals. We are one of approximately 3,000 traditional hospitals and numerous referral hospitals in the United States and Canada that are AAHA-accredited and have made a commitment to meeting the highest standards of veterinary care. The AAHA standards of accreditation are widely used as benchmarks to measure excellence in veterinary medicine. Our hospital has been successfully evaluated by an AAHA practice consultant on approximately 900 standards that directly correlate to the care we are providing your pet. The standards are periodically reviewed and updated to ensure they remain consistent with changes in the veterinary medicine and technology.
